As I was searching the internet for references to draw from, I came across this headshot of the actress Saoirse Ronan from the film The Grand Budapest Hotel. I immediately knew this was a piece that was meant for me to draw. For the background I used the central design in the carpet from the floor of the hotel to incorporate more of the film.
